Thank you for including Smokin' on Big Creek in your team's barbeque plans for 2012! We look forward once again to a full field of 60-plus teams who are anxious to put the winter weather behind them and get out there and start competing! That's why we say this contest is the cure for cabin fever! This contest will benefit Operation BBQ Relief, Inc. but will also help to raise funds and food for both Pleasant Hill Meals on Wheels and the Pleasant Hill Lay Clergy Council's Community Food Pantry. Both organizations see tough times occasionally. The organizers of this event are asking that each team bring at least one full size paper grocery sack full of non-perishable food items and canned goods along with them in April to help the organizations who are working hard to assist those in need in our community.
